It’s easier living with HIV when you have people around you who understand and know how to help. In New Zealand we have several specialised organisations and tools which can provide you with friendly support, assistance and advice.
The Burnett Foundation Aotearoa is a proud, frontline community organisation that has worked to improve the health and wellbeing of those living with and affected by HIV in Aotearoa for over 30 years. Today, its focus is to prevent ongoing HIV transmission and support people living with HIV through counselling, support groups, advocacy, and combating stigma.

Body Positive is a welcoming group open to all people living with HIV and AIDS. Body Positive Inc was founded by, and is still run by, people with HIV/AIDS. Their mission is to break down isolation and build a sense of community. It also advocates on behalf of HIV+ people throughout New Zealand.

Positive Women is a support organisation for women and families living with and affected by HIV. Positive Women also provides HIV awareness educational through programmes with a focus on prevention and de-stigmatisation.
